Tanya Taylor
Tanya’s artistic, thoughtful approach to fashion mixed with her determination and creativity made her instantly recognized as a rising star within the industry. A risk-taker at heart, Tanya continually looks for opportunities to break from the fashion status quo. She was the first designer to show at the Agnes Gund Garden Lobby in the Museum of Modern Art for her Spring 2013 collection, she launched inclusive sizing in 2017, and she has broken from NYFW traditions many times, choosing instead to use the dedicated time to hold luncheons with women leaders, premiere comedic videos, and promote timely causes such as voter registration for the 2020 presidential election.
A lifelong artist and woman business owner, Tanya’s focus on exciting colors and unexpected design elements blended with uncomplicated, feminine silhouettes have become her signature. Tanya was a top-ten finalist in the 2014 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund and was a member of the 2015-2016 Swarovski Collective. In 2014, Tanya won the Gold Coast Award and was nominated for the Fashion Group International's Rising Star Award. She was also named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 List in the same year. In 2015, Tanya became an official member of the CFDA, and was awarded the USA Woolmark Regional Prize in recognition of innovation in knitwear, advancing to the International Woolmark Prize finals. Tanya was nominated for CAFA’s International Canadian Designer of the Year Award in 2016 and was honored with the award in 2020.
